PREPARING FOR THE INSTALL
The first thing we’re going to want to do is get a total quantity of the lighting keypads and modules in your system. This is going to help determine the amount of material you’re going to need with your new replacement system.
In each LiteTouch enclosure should be somewhere between 1-4 modules. It’s generally a good idea to take photos of these modules and send them to your lighting expert.
Once you have your quantities, we now have what we need to establish a budget on what it’s going to take to get you into a newer system like a Lutron HomeWorks QS system. Lutron is a terrific solution in that it’s the current gold standard for lighting control systems and comes with an 8-year warranty.
THE INSTALL
A typical LiteTouch replacement should take no longer than a week and in many cases can be done in just a few days. Many companies will ask that you hire an Electrician to handle the high voltage portion of the project. Ideally you’d like to find a company like ETI that can handle all phases of the project.
This tends to save quite a bit on the overall labor cost. It’s also nice to have one company to call for any issues and mitigates any finger pointing.

THE RESULT
Once the system is installed it’s now going to need to be programmed. Your lighting expert should have this ready to load and test right as the installation is wrapping up.
With your new system you’ll now have have the capability to build your own lighting scenes, create your own timers and schedules, and manage your system from your smart phone or tablet.
